Zagreb, lower town – tomorrow
INGRA has initiated the drawing up of the Urban Development Study of Speculative Scenarios for the Development of Zagreb’s Lower Town. The study is directed by Maroje Mrduljaš, PhD, a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb, and authored by the ARHIV Architecture and Urbanism Association, led by award-winning architect Pero Vuković. The study analyzes the lower town blocks in detail and provides various proposals for the improvement and urban development of downtown Zagreb. It has been translated into a book published by INGRA in December 2021. The presented solutions and the content of the book indicate the course that INGRA’s own future investment projects will take. Apart from being beneficial to the company and its shareholders, it will be of wider public interest regarding the form of urban regeneration, development, and the introduction of new public facilities, as well as the demographic revival of the city center, which has been affected by earthquakes and years of neglect.
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing – research of the power grid potential
INGRA is cooperating with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb on a study assessing the power grid capacity and the potential for integrating solar power plants. One of INGRA’s future strategic plans is the development of energy projects from renewable sources, primarily solar power plants that use new technologies and are harmonized with the European Green Deal. This study is the basis for the future development of activities in this business segment.
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture – cooperation on the development of hydrogen technologies
INGRA is collaborating with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb and Ankica Kovač, Ph.D. on the development and implementation of hydrogen technologies at the location of the first Croatian solar hydrogen power plant in Ivanić Grad. This project marks INGRA’s move forward into the field of renewable energy sources. It will be developed in three stages, which include the construction of a solar power plant, the construction of a plant for the production and storage of green hydrogen, and the construction of a commercial hydrogen filling station.
From the very beginnings, INGRA has been one of the key large infrastructural project contractors in Croatia and abroad and has participated in the construction of many public facilities. Our scope of work includes complete civil engineering, surveying and feasibility studies, design, and building construction in the following fields:
Residential, tourism, recreational and sports facilities, urban villas, public and office buildings, and hospitals:
Roads, junctions, bridges, viaducts, dams, tunnels, airports, and seaports (independently or as a consortium partner)
